Now that teachers have come to grips with the common core state standards (CCSS) for Math and English/Language Arts by making adjustments in curriculum, content delivery and course offerings, another common core is upon us. Career and Technical Education is the next area of the curriculum that  falls into the line of commonality sweeping the education nation. The standards are termed the Common Career Technical Core (CCTC), and can be found here to download for your perusal. Although it will take time for states to adopt these standards, it pays to look ahead as the juggernaut of  common standards likely means quicker adoption as state education departments look toward this trend to influence all content areas in one form or another.
